Union Mission Building Becoming Luxury Apartments, Downtown Norfolk

Developer Buddy Gadams closed on the old Union Mission last Friday for $4 million and broke ground yesterday on the luxury apartment project.

The project will convert the historical building constructed in 1909 into 86 luxury apartments and will include the construction of a five-story building on the parking lot to the rear that would add an additional 50 apartments. Construction should wrap up about a year from now.
